Dog Grooming - Brushes, Rakes, Combs

'I am a sucker for buying anything new that suppose to do this or that. I already have a undercoat rake, the brush that is suppose to remove odors, a normal dog brush, a shedder and now I bought the shedder comb as seen on tv the other day to use on my 2 dogs. I have a mutt with lots of fur and a beagle mix. I can honestly say the shedder comb works however there seems to be no end to the hair that comes out. I have been using it on my dog that has lots of fur and the fur keeps coming out when I comb him. The manufacturer recommends combing the dog outside. I totally know why. It works great on my beagle too. I didn't know he had that much hair on him either. You have to be careful not to overdo it as it might cause skin irritation. You have to be careful when you use it around sensitive areas (I didn't bother using the comb in these areas
.

My dogs love being brushed and combed. They come running when I show them the brush, the rake, shedder comb. My dogs ' coats are looking healthy and shiny.
today when grooming my dog, I decided to switch to the undercoat rake instead of the shedender comb. My one dog has way too much fur. I used the rake yesterday on the porch and the white fur that came out whitened my porch. I brushed him for well over an hour. He sat still and really enjoyed it. I repeated brushing him today. There wasn't as much fur coming out today so maybe I got most of it. I prefer using the shedder comb on my beagle.
